‘His daughter needed a kidney’ – Rufai Oseni gives update on why Nigeria ex deputy Senate president, Ekweremadu and wife were arrested in UK

While reacting to the shocking news of the arrest of Former Nigerian deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice Nwanneka Ekweremadu, Arise TV host, Oseni Rufai has given a clue of what transpired abroad.

According to Oseni, Ekweremadus’ daughter needed a kidney, so they brought in a boy they had promised better life with the intention of harvesting his kidney.

“Ekweremadu’s daughter needed a kidney, so he brought in a 15 year old homeless boy with illegally obtained passport stating that the boy was 21. The boy was promised a better life. The former deputy senate President has been denied bail,” he wrote on Twitter.
Kemi Filani News had earlier reported that the couple were arrested in United Kingdom over alleged human organ Harvesting.

According to Met Police Press Release, the Ekweremadus have been charged with conspiring to arrange the travel of a child into the UK in order to harvest organs.
